Description
This was painted on one of the rare warm and non windy days at Stump Beach in far northern Sonoma County. It is a beautiful rugged beach landscape and because of the geography there are large waves forming at the same spot over and over again. Love this beach. Painted on location.
You enter this spot from an elevated location and must walk a narrow path to the beach. Because of the ruff sea , it is not a place to take a swim. You can also take the pathway on the left to an elevates bluff where the views of the Pacific Ocean and rugged coast line is very beautiful. This was painted in the late afternoon when the sun set colors were blasting the landscape. It was a large painting so I had to paint quickly.
