Description
The winner of the annual Schooner race in Gloucester, MA. 2015. I took a snap shot while on the harbor taxi in 2015. The sleek lines of the hull was my inspiration for the painting. This schooner is 140 feet in length and has a steel hull. The schooner was built in Florida and is a replica of one of the fishing schooner of her day, many of which you would find in Gloucester during Gloucester's hay day as a fishing capital on the east coast.
This vessel was the largest and fastest schooner in the 2015 annual Schooner Race.
