Description
The Hawiian Chieftain is a square rigger pirate ship replica that gives three hour or more excursions on the San Francisco Bay. The land mass behind Hawiian Chieftain is Angel Island. The typical route is departing Sausalito, a sail by Angel Island and on to the Golden Gate Bridge. From the Golden Gate to a sail by downtown San Francisco and on to the backside of Angel Island where just cooked chocolate cookies and hot coffee is served. By the time you get to the backside of Angel Island the marine layer has your teeth chattering so the coffee and warm cookies are great ! I had the good fortune to be on that afternoon excursion two times. Great memories.
