The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. I have tried to paint this pond a few times. I think this one is the most successful. The scene is a beautiful farm pond in the country setting of Glen Ellen in Sonoma County. Many ducks visit this pond and the foliage colors in the summer are quite interesting to paint. Painted on location.
